New Zealand: Afghan Recipe

These delicious cookies, are a classic Kiwi recipe - and oh so easy to make!


  • 200g butter

  • 75g caster sugar

  • 175g flour

  • 25g cocoa

  • 75g cornflakes


  1. Preheat oven to 180°c (350°f)

  2. Cream butter and sugar.

  3. Add flour and cocoa to creamed butter and sugar.

  4. Stir to combine.

  5. Lastly, add cornflakes, mixing well to combine.

  6. Put spoonfuls on a lined oven tray.

  7. Bake for 12 minutes.

 TOP TIP! Top with melted dark chocolate and a walnut to make them extra special.

 Prep time 10 minutes, cook time 12 minutes, makes 8 - 10
